PhD Fellowship – Gut, Grain & Greens by University of Copenhage, Denmark
Scholarship Details:
The work of the PhD fellow will consist primarily of research tasks focused on investigations of the potential immunological effects of a diet rich in whole grain. The project will include practical work performing the trial and proficiency in the Danish language is of great importance in the interaction with the participants. The immunological research will take place in collaboration with Professor Hanne Frøkiær and will include a great deal of work in her lab. Some experience with lab work will therefore be an advantage. We furthermore anticipate some international collaboration and prefer a PhD fellow with good language skills and a desire to gain some international experience. The PhD fellow is required to have research potential, to be enterprising and to possess good interpersonal skills. The applicant is required to have a Master´s degree in Human Nutrition, Human Biology, Biochemistry or a similar life science education. Furthermore, good grades and some experience with human intervention trials and statistical data analysis are among the professional skills that we will give weight in the appointment of the post.
